Kevin T. Kavanaugh

Kevin is a commercial and construction litigation attorney with over two decades of experience. Kevin concentrates his practice on dispute avoidance and resolution of commercial, financial, real estate and construction issues in state and federal courts.

Kevin is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Illinois, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western District of Michigan, along with the Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Kevin is committed to helping individuals and businesses resolve their legal issues without costly and time-consuming litigation.

He also has extensive experience in banking and litigation involving foreclosures, receiverships, quiet title, contract, UCC liens and loan disputes, fraud, lender liability and representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Kevin’s practice expertise includes post judgment collections and domesticating foreign judgments from other states, frequently obtaining positive results for clients in difficult collection matters.

Since 2008, Kevin has been recognized as a Michigan Rising Star and Super Lawyer and is Rated as Distinguished by his peers by Martindale-Hubbell. Kevin has assisted in drafting various practice handbooks and has acted as a moot court judge for local law schools, helping train law students in trial and appellate practice.
